Mortgage Brain
Brief: Brand new site design. The current Mortgage Brain site is over 10 years, so rather tired and outdated, well overdue a refresh.
Solution: Took a step back from the initial brief, so that I had an opportunity to use the early stages of the project to go through the analytics and available data, to make informed decisions for UX.
This enabled me to see what functionality needed improvement on the current site, and what elements the users were engaging with. Drew up site maps, user flows, reiterated these until the stakeholders were happy with the direction of the UX.
Created wireframes, allowing for quick ideation and iteration.
Put together a DSM for the site, and started working on the hi-fidelity visuals. Used an amazing tool called UXPin to create interactive prototype, allowed the stakeholders and project managers to see 90% working prototype without any coding. Additionally the design and development handover was greatly improved, with CSS snippets.
